Another trip down memory lane!

That was a fantastic time indeed. There's nothing better than getting together with your best friends and doing the stuff you use to in the old days.

Here's another few pics to add to that trip.

Lets do that again!

VEGAS, BABY!

I thought this would be an appropriate photo for this blog. This is a photo of me with my best friend Travis. It was taken when we were livin' it up in VEGAS. That's right, we were in Las Vegas, and it was one of the best trips ever. We saw Penn & Teller. That was a dream come true for both of us. We also had some beer, some cigars, some food. It was the best. Travis and I have been friends for a long time, and I can't tell you how honored I was to be his best man at his wedding. Oh yeah, by the way, his wedding was in Vegas that trip, too. Of course, I wasn't THE best man there, otherwise I would've been the one getting married. :) I just wish I would've been able to come up with a more witty speech at the wedding reception! I'm such a tool.

Any way, I just thought you should all see the pic of one of the best evenings of my adult life. I've been married for over seven years, so all those evenings have been alright too, but this one was one for the record books. Y'all should've been there.

I prefer Vodka

I'm not a huge fan of Gin, however I love Vodka.

Make the same drink and substitute vodka for gin and give that a whirl. That's my drink of choice.

And I agree, real lime is the way to go. I cut mine in 8ths because that's the way I like it. I'll give the lime a squeeze into the drink. Take the lime and rub it along the rim. Then I toss the lime into the mix with a quick swirl. Drink.

You might also want to try a Martini with a twist. The one I had was with lemon and quite nice. Again, I prefer Vodka, but the Gin Martini with a twist is pretty good too. That one will sneak up on you VERY fast. Just a tip. Don't down 4 in a row. Not a good idea. ;)

Malibu & Coke for you, G & T for me

I've been drinking a lot of Gin & Tonics lately. I can't afford Bombay Sapphire right now, but I can pretty much afford regular Bombay. It's really good, as long as you've got the right amount of the ingredients in it (Gin, Tonic Water, and lime).
I didn't like G & Ts till recently, when I went up to Billings and had lunch with my step-father-in-law Don, and he made me probably one of the best drinks I've had in quite a while.
Anyway, I use real limes now, not just "realime" juice. It really is a lot better than just the juice.
You cut the lime in quarters (or eighths, if you're cheap) and put one in the drink, after the ice and Gin, but before the tonic water.
Well, It's a pretty good drink. Just like any good Gin drink, it kind of sneaks up on you, and then after about an hour you try to walk in a straight line and bam! There it is.

You should try it.

Prohibition

I miss my booze. When Nicole and I decided we'd try to have kids, the booze went down the drain. Which is ironic since most kids are the result of booze.

So now that Nicole is pregnant, I'm not allowed to drink. If she can't have it, nor can I. At least not the stuff that she likes. Our favorite drink is vodka. She likes blue martinis and I like vodka tonics. We also drink the Smirnoff Twisted Black Cherry malt beer. So that's definately off the menu.

She lets me buy regular beer, so I'm not totally hung out to dry. I've been drinking, 1554 made by the New Belgium Brewing Company. It's a great beer that works perfect for relaxing after work.

I miss getting drunk with my wife and friends. It was great fun. We'd fix dinner, play games all night, relax and get drunk with good friends. I'm guessing that we won't be doing that for quite awhile. Damn kids!

Traffic fix

What if everyone was required to have their phone number as their automobile license plate number?
How would people's driving habits change if they knew that their license plate doubled as their phone number? I guess there would be a lot more rejected calls on people's cell phones.

What do you think?

God Said "GO"

Hey, what if there IS a parallel universe that was created at the same time and in the same manner as this one? (See the book of Genesis)

Just think about it. Two identical universes, with the same chance of survival, and God made it so that it is impossible to see the other one or travel to it.

Basically, if we had it to do over again, would it be drastically different, or just a little different by the year 2006 in the other reality?

I think maybe that God made two of the same thing. then he said "Go" and they were off. I wonder what the other one looks like. I wonder if they use a similar language, have the same problems, etc.

Definitely something to think about, and something I should write about, huh?
