Another trip down memory lane!

That was a fantastic time indeed. There's nothing better than getting together with your best friends and doing the stuff you use to in the old days.

Here's another few pics to add to that trip.

Lets do that again!

VEGAS, BABY!

I thought this would be an appropriate photo for this blog. This is a photo of me with my best friend Travis. It was taken when we were livin' it up in VEGAS. That's right, we were in Las Vegas, and it was one of the best trips ever. We saw Penn & Teller. That was a dream come true for both of us. We also had some beer, some cigars, some food. It was the best. Travis and I have been friends for a long time, and I can't tell you how honored I was to be his best man at his wedding. Oh yeah, by the way, his wedding was in Vegas that trip, too. Of course, I wasn't THE best man there, otherwise I would've been the one getting married. :) I just wish I would've been able to come up with a more witty speech at the wedding reception! I'm such a tool.

Any way, I just thought you should all see the pic of one of the best evenings of my adult life. I've been married for over seven years, so all those evenings have been alright too, but this one was one for the record books. Y'all should've been there.

I prefer Vodka

I'm not a huge fan of Gin, however I love Vodka.

Make the same drink and substitute vodka for gin and give that a whirl. That's my drink of choice.

And I agree, real lime is the way to go. I cut mine in 8ths because that's the way I like it. I'll give the lime a squeeze into the drink. Take the lime and rub it along the rim. Then I toss the lime into the mix with a quick swirl. Drink.

You might also want to try a Martini with a twist. The one I had was with lemon and quite nice. Again, I prefer Vodka, but the Gin Martini with a twist is pretty good too. That one will sneak up on you VERY fast. Just a tip. Don't down 4 in a row. Not a good idea. ;)

Malibu & Coke for you, G & T for me

I've been drinking a lot of Gin & Tonics lately. I can't afford Bombay Sapphire right now, but I can pretty much afford regular Bombay. It's really good, as long as you've got the right amount of the ingredients in it (Gin, Tonic Water, and lime).
I didn't like G & Ts till recently, when I went up to Billings and had lunch with my step-father-in-law Don, and he made me probably one of the best drinks I've had in quite a while.
Anyway, I use real limes now, not just "realime" juice. It really is a lot better than just the juice.
You cut the lime in quarters (or eighths, if you're cheap) and put one in the drink, after the ice and Gin, but before the tonic water.
Well, It's a pretty good drink. Just like any good Gin drink, it kind of sneaks up on you, and then after about an hour you try to walk in a straight line and bam! There it is.

You should try it.
